Sabbats
Here are the eight different sabbats in the Wiccan year. Typically they are celebrated from sunset to sunset the following day.
31st October - Samhain also known as Halloween, Hallowmas, All Hallows Eve, Festival of the dead
21st December - Winter Solstice also known as Yule, Winter Rite, Midwinter
2nd February - Candlemas also known as Imbolc, Oimelc and Lady Day
21st March - Spring Equinox also known as Ostara, Alban Eilir
1st May - Beltane also known as May Day
21st June - Summer Solstice also known as Midsummer, Litha
1st August - Lammas also known as Lughnasadh, august eve
21st September - Autumn Equinox also known as mabon
Samhain, Candlemas, Beltane and Lammas are the four major sabbats.
Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox are the four minor sabbats.
